That's rad he's having fun. I have fun too when I skate. I just don't subject the general populous to my dork around tricks. Oh and I also don't spend more time thrift store shopping for costumes to propel my image (which may seem "new" or "quirky" in skateboarding but in reality is a dime-a-dozen in New York, London, Hollywood, etc.) then on my board learning how to land tricks without the usage of my hands. ok to all of you, skateboarding is heading into the direction where people are getting tired of seeing all of these hammers and and rails. Melcher is the a breed of skaters looks for the unusual to skate. And that's the kind of skating we need. I'm so tired of seeing all these skaters that go 2 mph and try to be super tech on little ledges and manual pads. Patrick is able to provide the real technical skills that the skaters with their ipods and XL t-shirts just don't have. He's a true skate rat.
