About Us

The Skateboard Mag seeks to maintain the independent nature and integrity of the skateboard culture at all levels; provide readers with a broad, accurate, and knowledgeable view of skateboarding; and advance skateboard publishing through excellence in photography, writing, and design.

The difficulty comes not in loving the act of skateboarding enough, or even in getting better at the deed that has defined our existence (as well as the existence of millions of skate-focused fanatics universe-wide). More exactly, the difficulty comes both from the want and need to do the best for our preferred distraction—to make skateboarding proud.

Pressure is a beautiful shaper of things, though, and in applying the heaviness of skateboarding’s past and present while leading it into the potential of our ultimately unheard-of future, The Skateboard Mag aims to produce a truly independent voice for skateboarding the world over—portraying a characteristic knowledge, wisdom, and blind evolution that’s easy to adore, a privilege to be a part of, and impossible (let alone, difficult) for us to ever give up believing in.

And we don’t stop.
