We were closing up the Art Show I was in at OPT the other night and Greg Hunt just happened to be in SD and stopped by with Heath Kirkchart's doggy, Minipuppy. Click on her to see her precious face.
Dave Swift, Mike Burnett, Skin Phillips and yours truly are being honored with our own limited release shoe by our friends at DVS. How rad is that? Each of us has picked a charity of his choice to donate our royalty to. My cut will be donated to Hurricane Katrina Victims in New Orleans through Mercy Corps.
Our photos will be integrated into the shoe of our choice, a book and this Photo Show at Premise, 726 9th St/Suite 4 in San Diego. The photos will be up for sale and the proceeds of the sale of images will go to the Go Skateboarding Foundation.

They are playing at the Casbah Saturday night, TOMORROW!

Went to T's and L's wedding winter before last in Fiji. Rancid came over to play the wedding on acoustic guitars. This is at a luau at Plantation Island and Rancid was gracious enough to pose with my family for a portrait. After we got back, my wife, Laura and 15 year old Lukas Miller went to see them play in San Diego.
Met up with Kien Lieu (Donger) and Jason Carney the other day in SD. I spent a lot of time with these guys "back when", cruising the gaps and rails of SD in the 90s.

Did you see Jake Brown in the Xgames last night?
Who the hell falls 50 friggin' feet onto their back(which blew his shoes off his body from the impact) and lives to tell about it and get a silver medal in the process?
Scared the hell out of me and the World!
Just spoke to Chris Miller, he was announcing and witnessed the whole thing. He says that Jake cracked a couple of ribs, bruised his liver and has a small contusion on his lung.
He should be released from the hospital today though. Amazing!
